Agricultural Practice in Grades 7a and 7b

For our seventh graders, spending time in the countryside is their first real opportunity to step outside the familiar school environment. They live, work, and share their daily life together. Being close to the soil, plants, and animals teaches them in a very direct way. They also learn to take care of one another. They work together, share responsibilities, and organize their everyday routines as a group. They begin and end each day together. These simple experiences help children develop responsibility and independence. They also give them their first deeper experience of what it means to be part of a community. These days in the countryside become an important foundation for the deeper practical experiences that await them in the higher grades.

Class 7a spent their agricultural practice in the remote village of Darik from June 13 to 26. Class 7b stayed in the village of Daranak from May 25 to June 5.

From woodworking to shepherding and farming, from construction to cooking, our students discover many different practical skills. They learn through doing. They work with their hands, take responsibility, and become part of the daily life around them. At this age, children are gradually discovering the world of science. They begin to see how things are connected and how one action can lead to another. Agriculture offers a natural bridge between knowledge and experience. A child does not simply learn that a seed grows into a plant. They experience the process themselves. They plant the seed, care for it, and watch it grow. In this way, learning becomes personal. It becomes something they have experienced with their own hands and through their own work.
